Gardening Day

Sunday was Gardening Day.

Mom thought that this sign in the nursery was so cute that she went back to take a picture of it.
(DUH ! ~ ~ She could have used the camera phone when she was there the first time.)

Sidewalk Supervisors ~~ ready to roll . . .

Fountain area - BEFORE

Fountain area - AFTER
A wire fence had to be put around it to keep us from drinking the water.

Finished !!!   Now something has to be done about that fence.

Final watering.
("Ollie, get your head out of the way !!!")

A job well done.

Thankful Thursday

Definitely a Thankful Thursday . . .

I would like to thank Siku and Prinnie for my awards:

The rules state that I have to say seven beautiful things about myself. This is indeed a daunting task since I'm so humble, but I'll give it a try.

1. I am loved unconditionally despite the fact that I’m obstinate, ornery, VERY vocal,  bold, temperamental, suspicious of everyone and everything, do not understand the meaning of ‘obedience’ and always like to get my own way.

2. I also have positive attributes which I share with my Mom. We’re both: Capricorns, agile, petite and highly intelligent. We have great legs, do not smell, have a cuteness overload and love to nap and eat.

3.  I have a big-dog attitude packed inside a pint-size frame and guard the house as if I were paying the mortgage.  I love my job.

4.  I'm very appreciative of  home cooked food.  Oliver and I  eat a lot of chicken, turkey, London broil, tri tip, pot roast. vegetables, pasta and rice.  There's also these things called *wonder burgers* which contain more vegetables and vitamins.

5.  I put up with Oliver's antics.  He's not the easiest dog to live with.  He thinks everything is about HIM.
(Silly boy, everyone knows that IT'S ALL ABOUT ME.)

6.  I make sure my parents have plenty of exercise by taking them on numerous daily walks.

7.  I appreciate all my toys and I'm happy that everyone plays with me.

I pass this on to Casper D. Dog, Comet and BLU, Tegan, Mack and Sally Ann, Lorenza, Khyra and Momo and Pinot (They're Cavaliers and don't know us yet, but they will.)

Here's what's been going on in our lives:

The Easter Bunny came to our house with more toys for us and for Mom to pick up.

I gave Oliver driving lesson and took him to the doggie park.
("I see that tongue, Ollie.")

Here's Oliver enjoying his *cigar*. (Notice how he blends in with the floor and the cabinets.)

Gates were installed to restrict  Oliver from certain rooms in  the house.  (It's a good thing that he never had agility lessons.)  He had been leaving a few odious *surprises* on the dining room floor and no one was happy.  Out of the goodness of my heart I stay confined with him, but I'm allowed everywhere.
.

Oliver's days of table sitting are now over.

Our neighbor's daughter had a new baby boy and Mom crocheted this blanket for her and also sent a cute outfit with paw prints on it.  We hope they like cats.

We hope everyone has a happy Friday and a great weekend.

FINALLY - A Post

We just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Easter and hope that all your baskets are filled with goodies.

We haven't been blogging (or even checking blogs) for a while. My sister bought an apartment building and Mom has been busy helping her with the cleaning and painting of the units.

Next week, we should be out in full force. I haven't even properly acknowledged my awards or passed them on.

Hugs and yips
