A Trip to the Doggie Park . . . and a BATH (? ! ? !)

Saturday was a gorgeous day in Morgan Hill and so off we went to the Dog Park. I was on my *best* (???) behavior and actually allowed other people to sit on the benches near me without barking my head off.  You can see Ollie in the bottom left corner checking out a little girl.  He'll always be a womanizer.
Ollie had to read all the *pee mail*.

I left a couple of messages of my own.

Mom took pictures of her favorite dogs (other than us). Needless to say, they were all from the *Spitz* family and resembled me.
Here's a little Pom named Pooh-Bear.  He was utterly charming and very friendly.

Here are  two more cuties - Natasha, the mini female ME and Monica, the Pom.
Monica was very amiable, but Natasha had my "Look" and and my ferocious bark.  Mom had to keep her distance.

Just as we were thinking that this had been the perfect day, I heard that dreaded four letter "B" word - BATH ! ! !

What did we do to deserve this?  I hope this isn't the start of a new routine.
Dad changed into his "dog grooming attire" and grabbed me first.

"Hey Dad, a little warmer water  ~~ PLEASE !!!"

Next it was Ollie's turn.  Does this look like a happy face?

A great ending to an "almost" perfect day.
Mom was the one only left standing.

Have a great Sunday Everyone !!!

The *Deadbeat Bloggers* are FINALLY Back !!!

Through no fault of our own, we've been MIA again. Mom and Dad were in New Jersey finishing the renovations on Grandma's house.

The entire process necessitated 3 bi-coastal trips to rid the house of  52 years of clutter and to complete the updates.  The decor was straight from the 60s and 70s and upon entering the house, one would have expected to be greeted by the Partridge Family.

My sister Jessica, sagacious real estate mogul and expert home stager that she is, even managed to find renters for the New Jersey house ~~ working from California. She was instrumental in the orchestration of the carpet,  paint, granite and cabinet selection. Needless to say, she was too busy to let us post or comment on other blogs.

Ollie and I detest any dramatic changes in our normal routine and were still feeling crestfallen and despondent, when sunshine came pouring through the mail in the form of personalized bandanas from Siku and the White Dog Army.
(The Cavalry to the rescue . . .)
They fit perfectly and are absolutely adorable !!!

If you click on the picture, it will enlarge and display the
doggie details.

Now we're definitely *Chick Magnets* and look as if  we had just stepped off the cover of GQ Magazine.

Here we are -- for your viewing pleasure . . .
A big THANK YOU, along with yips, yaps, hugs and kisses to you Siku (Five-Star General White Dog), to your Army and to your Housekeeping Staff.

We definitely need that.
