It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas . . .

We finally got around to decorating the house and putting up the tree.

I, of course, had to supervise.

I think that the tree needs more lights.

Good job, Mom and Dad.

Then at 3:30 am, Mom and Dad were treated to a cacophony of our barks and yips.   We heard a loud clamor downstairs.  It sounded as if Santa and his reindeer had landed in our living room.

No such luck -- the Christmas tree fell over and no one could figure out why. Mom went online in an attempt to determine if there had been an earthquake in our area.

Possibly an overload of ornaments placed in the front of the tree caused it to tip over ???

Only a few glass ornaments were broken, but there was water everywhere.  Mom started throwing towels down from the linen closet and she and Dad mopped up.

Never a dull moment.  At least the outside decorations are still up.

I have a feeling that next year's tree is going to come in a box - assembly required.

Don't let a clumsy tree ruin your live tree tradition! And fill the stand with water not spiked eggnog...trees just cannot hold their liquor! It looked so beautiful....standing up, that is!

It woke you at 3am?...we thought everyone in California was still out partying at that time!BOL

Oh no, look at what happened with your tree! I wonder what happened? I bet your parents got it standing up again and it looks just as beautiful as it did before! That's a nice looking tree!
