Mom has a serious problem. She's addicted to mailing packages, and to say that she absolutely LOVES doing it is an understatement. (She should apply for a position in a Shipping Department instead of merely settling for her status as a *Trophy Wife*.) This condition has been ongoing for a while. It started when my sister Jessica went to Cal. Mom was afraid that she would starve to death, so she started sending her goodies and *stuff* ~~ every week.
Jessica played on the Cal softball team for four years and if my pawrents weren't able to make a game, Mom sent snacks (a LOT of snacks) for the team to the hotel where they were staying. She had the timing perfected, so they always received the packages during their stay.
Sorry to say, but I think that Mom is one can short of a six-pack.
Sorry to say, but I think that Mom is one can short of a six-pack.
Now, after the 6th package for my nephew, (and he's not even born yet), here's yet another one. The Gerber line of products were on sale and they were calling Mom's name.
USPS has flat rate mailing boxes and a lot of things can fit into their large box. Postage-wise, Mom wanted to get more bang for the buck, so she added extras like boxes of See's Halloween candy, along with toothbrushes and toothpaste for Lauren and Dave in Michigan. Of course my canine nephew and niece, Nova and Sadie couldn't be left out, so there's also dog treats in the box. Magazines add extra weight, so they were included also. Here I am, inspecting the package.
Okay, it's good to go.
There's only one serious problem. That postage money could have been better spent on me and Ollie.
Waaaaaah !!!
WE HAVE NO TOYS !!!

Hi, Cappy!
They are going to be happy with all the nice things she is sending to them!
Your mom is very smart!
My mom says that packing is an art... that she does not dominate!
Kisses and hugs

PS... Yes... you two don't have enough toys!
Your Mom looks like a pawesome package sender.:) We love that she included a doggy magazine for your Nephew.:)
Love,
Teddy Bear
Your mom is an EXPERT, you are so right, but she shouldn't waste her talent on merely one shipping department...she should have a cable show...how about "Perfect Package Pointers!" Maybe you and Ollie could be her TV assistants and each week you all would be given the challenge of packing everything hidden "behind the curtain". Catchy, huh?
your mom is a most excellent package sender from the sound of it!

Quinn wants a minifrig, too, but I think dad is smart enough to put that in the WAY back. Dad was trying to trade mom a Porsche coupe for an injured senior Tibetan Mastiff (if she got him the car, she could adopt the HUGE pup) but she just could not squeeze enough out of the grocery funds for the payments! :( Your mom and dad seem to found the perfect car for each of their personalities...I wonder what it says about MY mom and dad when we will have a minivan, a 1980Mercedes diesel coupe that we run on biofuel, and dad's electric town car? P.S. Tell Your dad that mine is VERY jealous (he's a car nut, too)!
Hi Cappy, hoping you get new toys soon.
Cappy, I am right there with you! I hate the rain and getting wet. (Quinn stands outside in it)! I don't like when the wind is too strong or noisy either. We weather wimps were meant for loving and cuddling, not for marching through the snows and rain.
Your sister Jessica is PAWESOME! I love her...you are so lucky. She tells me about all of your family's trips. You must come and visit SF soon...there are so many fancy city dogs.
