4th of July 2011

I could tell that this was going to be a hot day.  Here is the temperature reading at 8:OO AM.

I advised everyone that we'd better hit the Dog Park early.

Ollie just wanted to just chill out at home, but I persuaded him to get up on all fours.

Jessica joined us and off we went . . .

Ice pops were a welcome treat upon returning home.

Mom was content to spend the rest of the day in the pool, working on tan maintenance.  I told her that too much sun equals *melanoma on the installment plan*, but she never listens to me.

The most exciting part of the day was when the power went out.
We sat outside with Dad . . .

Not one to waste time, Mom grabbed her
crocheting while it was still light outside . . .

This was the temperature in the evening:

Mom grabbed all the candles that she could find and lit them.

Power was finally restored around 10:30 PM and we had a repeat performance of another power outage on Tuesday evening which lasted until early Wednesday morning.

We hope that everyone had a fun weekend, we've had better.

Especially during these hot days!
Glad you had a great time at the park and with your mom and dad outside enjoying a good time!

No power + high temps = YUCK! Honestly, Cappy it seems that you have as tough I job as I do getting everyone moving and taking good advice! The life of an Eskie, huh? The park trip looked like lots of fun AND there were popsicles after, so tat was pretty cool! It has been hot here as well and dad got us frozen yogurt the other night but we are DEMANDING palletas this weekend!
